Our classic program of Ararat trekking, with extra day for better acclimatization to the high altitude, is the most often chosen trekking by all mountaineers.
We will climb Ararat from its south face as the south route is the easiest and safest one. Additional day for acclimatization will allow us to better adapt to the high altitude conditions and increase our chance for successful reaching of Ararat summit.
Day 1: Ascent to Ararat Camp 1 (3200 m)
In the morning we will eat a nutritious breakfast at the hotel. Then we will pack our luggage to a minibus, and we will drive to the village Cevirme, located at the foot of Mount Ararat. We will stop near the village, where the starting point of our trekking tour is. Our luggage, camping gear and food will be packed on horses, which will carry it to the campsite. We will start ascent to Ararat Camp 1 only with our small backpacks, where we will have only the most necessary equipment and lunch packets prepared by the cook. We should reach the campsite within 3-4 hours, depending on the pace of the group. On the campsite we will set up our tents and then we can rest, drink tea or coffee and eat small lunch which will wait for us in kitchen tent (fruits and snacks).
At the evening we will have hot dinner (soup, second dish and salad).
Overnight on the Ararat Camp 1.

Day 2: Acclimatization day on Mount Ararat
We will start a day with good breakfast on the campsite. Then we will take lunch packets prepared by the cook and our small backpacks, and we will start to hike towards Ararat Camp 2, located at an elevation 4200 m. We should reach higher camp within 4-5 hours. After the break for resting we will descent to Ararat Camp 1, where hot drinks, snacks and fruits will be served. Free afternoon we can spend relaxing and enjoying beauty of nature. At the evening – hot dinner.
Overnight on the Ararat Camp 1.

Day 3: Ascent to Ararat Camp 2
In the morning we will eat breakfast and pack our luggage, which will be transported to Camp 2 on horses. We will start an ascent to higher campsite only with our small backpacks (like every day). Within 4-5 hours we will reach Ararat Camp 2 at 4200 m. There we will set up our tents, drink hot tea or coffee, and eat something. The afternoon we can spend resting and preparing the equipment for the summit push, which will take place on the following day.
Hot dinner will be served earlier than on the previous days, as we should go to sleep early, to be prepared for starting ascent to the summit long before the sunrise.
Overnight on the Ararat Camp 2.

Day 4: Ascent to Ararat Summit (5137 m), return to Dogubayazit
We will wake up very early (about 1-2 am) and eat something. Then we will take thermoses with hot tea and lunch packets and start ascent to the summit of Mount Ararat. We should reach Ararat summit within 5-7 hours, depending on the pace of the group and weather condition. It can be necessary to use crampons on last 200-300 meters before summit. When we reach Ararat peak we will have time to celebrate and take some photos/videos. Afterwards we will descent to Ararat Camp 2, where meal will wait for us. We can rest about 1-2 hours. Then we will pack our luggage and walk down to the point near to Cevirme village, where driver will wait for us (on the way we can make a short break on the Camp 1). We return to Dogubayazitand check-in at the hotel. At the evening we will have dinner in one of local restaurants.
